I love that book Jem, one of my faves, try The Light in the Window too, have a browse in the bookshop, they are all in there, all the ones our members have recommended over the past few months. The bookshop is cheaper, our shop is basically amazon but its set up to only show midwifery books so none of that awful searching, its on a plate and cheapo amazon prices

I have read that, and the Baby Catcher and The Light in the window and I loved them all. Another good one in my opinion is 'A Midwife's Story' by Penny Armstrong. You can get that from the book shop on here too....I did!

Good afternoon All!
As you know I'm not quite at the application stage yet (2 yrs until kiddie winks are at school full time) but am starting an access course soon and am eager to get reading beforehand! Can anyone recommend a good Midwifery book as a first read/browse? Any good general reading books/mag ideas would be great please. Thanks! x |
