Default placement areas???

Hello all :-)

How can I find out which universitys offer placements in my area which would be scunthorpe general hospital, so far I have only found hull.
I don't mind travelling but would doing my placements in a different hospital mean I am less like to get a job in the hospital near me?
Donna

I would contact all of the local universities to which you want to apply (see our universities list for the email addresses and websites, some may have details on their websites though) for information on placments trsuts and hospitals

I don't see why you'd be less likely to get a job in a trust nearer to you, if you didn't train there, though I have seen some trusts prioritise their own students. Lots of NQ's move trusts/areas after qualifying, so should hopefully be ok.

I know, never mind. I can't see myself getting into hull they want 72 credits at level 3 and I can't see me gaining them with my access alone.

120 credits would be a different credit system I assume. 120 credits is like doing 2 Access courses on the credit system I am on!

Donna, I believe only Hull offers that as a placement hospital though there are other hospitals in your area.

Try looking up Sheffield, Leeds... possibly huddersfield?? Not sure

Good luck xx

Hi I am at Hull and have my placements at Scunthorpe. I did the access course and got 74 credits by coverind 3 subjects. Each of the assignments I did were worth 3 credits each so I think I did 6 assignments in each subject. Hope this helps.
