No its not less acceptable, its a full kite marked access course like any other - its just you do have to be very self motivated, a lot of people prefer to study at college so that they have the support from fello students and teachers, but if like me is isnt feasible to attend college or there are no courses available the dlc is a god send! But you do have to be disciplined to do the work instead of sitting in front of the telly!!!!

I applied to Teesside, York, Leeds and Bradford. I got interviews at all four unis. Teesside is closest to me as I live about 40 minutes out of york.. YO7 postcode, York would be my second. I realised Leeds and Bradford were far too far. It'd be over an hours drive or an hour on the train plus a hop on the bus.

Hello my beautiful annie,
I spoke to leeds uni. You can do either access to midwifery or a biology a level in order to be
eligible for the midwifery degree. You don’t need both, I think he said as
long as you have 12 credits of biological science that is ok, so just make
sure the access course provides this. Hope this is OK xx
Kind Regards,

double check the DLC Access offers enough level three credits for the unis you want to go to. some want more than others. For example: Leeds want 54, but Teesside only want a pass which is 48.

Kind Regards,

12 credits is usually 2 modules. I did Human Physiology and Cell Biology worth 6 credits each

I think it just depends on the credits. Some unis want more level 3's than others ??
With access (the college version not the dlc) at the mo you need 45 level 3 to pass the course (+15 level 2's) so total of 60 to pass.
But my uni told me that as from next year they want 48 level threes and they are upping there a-level requirements.!!!
You really need to pin down your specific uni and find out what they require. XXX
