Thank you for this, but i was warned by York College they are pulling the course due to lack of funding this year. I was all set to do that until i found that infomation out about 2 weeks ago, then thats when i started posting here - panicking like mad!! but its a warning - it might still be on but i wont find out till 30th june 2008 when the prospectus comes out.

congrats for getting accepted on the course!! i was told that biology is needed so i cant apply just yet.
im just currently researching the open uni module that rachel found, and it looks good, i think i will do that if its accepted by the uni (emailing them right now!) AND if the a-level thing at york college isnt in the prospectus for sept.

little noo, its so nice to have someone nearby, yay!!

little noo

just got email from york college re biology a-level in evenings

Dear Lesley-Anne,
Unfortunately we won't bu running this course this year due to drastic
funding cuts. We do run a science Access course, but you would need to
confirm with the University that they would accept this as an adequate
entry qualification. The course is full time for one year (9-5pm) and needs
to be applied for as soon as possible.
Kind regards,

sob sob sob. just confirmed what i already knew basically.

Make sure they don't want you to do a 60 point OU course. Thats only 30 points

I rang Leeds this morning and told them that IcyElement had A Levels in sociology and psychology and asked if she just needed biology and would human biology be acceptable and the very nice man I spoke to recommended the OU human biology course, I presume this is the one he meant as I couldn't find any others. I guess 30 credits would be OK because of the A Levels?

Maybe... Leeds a buggers for moving the goalposts though so I'd get that in writing before signing up and starting the course.
