Been to a fab open day!!!!!
Hi everyone
Have been having all sorts of wobbles about how I feel about doing midwifery and today went to an Open Day for Nursing and Midwifery. It was so interesting and exciting, and I really felt like it could be "me"!!!!  Afterwards I spoke to the lady who did the main talk and told her a load of my concerns (poor woman had a bit of an ear bashing!!)  She said that with my academic background and with my Bf counselling lined up I stand a great chance of getting a place! Yup, that is what she said, I nearly fell off my chair!! I nearly skipped out afterwards and hubby squeezed my hand and said that it really seemed as if it was for me too. My mum is still expressing a very negative attitude, but I am hoping to win her over with my enthusiasm. The lady I spoke to today said I should do another GCSE or A level to top up my recent study and said I should do something which maybe included something in human anatomy... but when I said I liked the look of sociology or psychology she said that sounds good too, so now jst got to make that decision and GO FOR IT! Yay!  Had to share with you all!! x x x

Decided to postpone my application to 2010 for Beds and ARU x x x

That's great news, so pleased you had a good day, and that the lady was so positive about your chances.

It was at Bedford Uni. Hoping to try another open day at ARU but not sure when that is! Still trying to decide between Sociology and Psychology! x x x

So happy to hear its all coming into place for you really excited for you. Sounds brilliant, oh it makes me excited.
