Work experience...... so excited

Hi guys havent posted for a while as I have been in sunny Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt. Had a great holiday and didnt want to come home but the one thing that has made it easier to get back is knowing I have a week work experience with the Midwives at a hospital in 3 weeks. So excited I cant wait, plus I am on a course for 2 days this week as I am breastfeeding mentor and so I need to have some more training so after that as soon as my crb check comes back I am let loose on the wards!! Feels like everything is coming into place ready for me to apply and hopefully become a student Midwife. I want this soooooo much now I will be gutted if I am not successful at gaining any interviews and/or a place cos it means so much and I have worked so hard to get this far!!!

You sound like you have done so much prep it would be very unlikely that you wouldn't at least be offered an interview. Use you work experience to soak up lots of knowledge, if there is things you dont understand come on here and look it up in the glossary. By the time it comes to interview time you will be an expert!

It sounds like you are really enthusiastic and commited to becoming a student midwife and im sure the uni's will be impressed with your BF support work and work experience so im sure you will be invited for interviews.

Wow - sounds like a fab holiday - my Mum and Dad are off to Egypt next month (not jealous at all!!!!). Sounds like you are well prepared for applying to do midwifery - sending you lots of luck and hope you enjoy your work experience (I'm sure you will)
