Default Do any student midwives actually manage a part time job too?

I just wondered if it is possible to have a weekend/part time job along side doing a midwifery course.
For extra money etc. Or is there not enough time?
Just wondering!!!

I am trying to sort out some bank shifts as a health care assistant at my local hospital, I can then work it around uni and maybe placement depending on what shifts I am working.

I don't, I have given some riding lessons, and I did find that at times doing that, helping with the horse and all of the travelling prevented me gettting on with my work, but then it depends on your circumstances, your support and whether you have kids or not too.

For me, I don't think I would manage it as the cost would make working too much hassle and not really be financially worth it at all

That said, I am also to lazy to work, especially when doing shifts in the hospital too, and doing essays!

Depends how much you need the money really - where theres a will there's a way - as they say!

I'd be working too if the college hadn't refused me a reference! There are a fair few that do up to about 25hours a week work (night shifts obv). If this is your plan - just try and have it before you start - as I say - our college has vito'd us getting jobs after starting...

i don't personally
but a couple of girls in the cohort do.
One works as a waitress, another as an MCA, one on a ship, another carries on elements of her self employed business
so it is possible!!
