Default defer - bangor or chester

Hi as some of you who read my other thread may know I may have to put uni off for another year due to some problems with my fertility. Just wondered does anyone know if you can defer entry to bangor or chester due to exceptional circumstances - that being pregnancy????? Also would they look on this badly if they dont let you defer as I would have to reapply - I dont want to look like I am not commited

I can't answer about Bangor or Chester, but my University let me defer due to pregnancy. They too said they would only allow deferral in 'exceptional circumstances' but confirmed that pregnancy was deemed exceptional enough (especially as I'm due two weeks into the start of the course!)

I'm pretty sure they'd let you defer; after all, you are committing your future to dealing with women and pregnancy, so becoming pregnant certainly doesn't show lack of commitment. Even if they don't let you defer, they won't be able to hold it against you and your next application would be dealt with as a fresh application.

Good luck, hon; hope it all works out for you XX
