Default Advice Needed Pleeese!!

Hi, I am new to this site and was just wondering if someone could give me some advice.

I am applying for midwifery in 2009 and after speaking to a midwifery manager today regarding my previous placements whilst on my access course, I informed her that i was lucky enough to witness a caesarean section whilst on placement. She was absolutely horrified that the trust had put me in such a vulnerable position due to no training and suggested I immediately take that off my personal statement. Does anybody have any advice to that? I thought it a wonderful experience and it took pride of place on my P.S.

Personally, providing you were taking no active part in the section think that that opportunity was a marvellous one that the majority of midwifery students to be don't get! Don't take it off your PS! Draw out things from the experience you can use to your advantage and apply it all to your future midwifery career.

Can't you word your PS to reflect that you didn't take an active part in the C-section but as LittleNoo puts it...had a marvelous opportunity to observe it!??
