Hi, I think volunteering in any care sector, is evidence that you are prepared to get an insight into a caring environment, not matter that it is not related.
I voluneer for homestart and have been looking after a family for a number of months. I have tried to get into various trusts on maternity, but nobody seems to take volunteers any more. Not in my area anway. The NCT is another good organisation to help with too. Good insight into childbirth experience and they are always crying out for volunteers. Hope this helps! |

Are there any other ways I could get some work experience?
