Hull universitys intake??

Is there anybody that could tell me Hulls intake? I have been told it is every other year, is this true? I have been told I have to apply for 2010 this year rather than 2009 like most places

Hi there Donna. I've heard about this somewhere before, but I'm really not sure whether this was the case or not; it all seems a bit confusing!

I know that Hull do their applications a bit differently, in that they don't go through UCAS; Midwifery applicants have to apply directly to the University instead.

It would probably be best to call the Uni direct and check with them about their application process. Also check their entry requirements, as I have heard that their requirements are slightly higher than most other Unis, but I don't know exactly what they are.

hi, i can confirm that is correct hun, this year we applied for 09 but some of the applicants who were successful were offered 08 places, so dont let it put you off applying, there may be a chance of an 09 place xx

I don't think they only have every other year intakes. I believe its every year, but you have to apply a year in advance and direct to the uni.

Thanks for that Noo, so if they do an intake every year and I wanted to apply for 2011 I would apply next year?
If I did apply for 2010 and was lucky enough to get accepted would I be able to defer and start 2011?

I believe if you want to apply for 2010, you'll apply from this September (Or whenever they start accepting applications).. if you want to apply for 2011, you'll apply Sept 09 (or whenever they start accepting applications... So next application cycle for 2010, and the cycle after for 2011.

Oh that makes me feel so much better. I can apply next year for 2011 then. I thought I was going to have to wait until 2012 before I could apply if I didn't do it for the 2010 intake.
