I'm confused......

Hello,
I'm 25 and a mum to 2 young kids, age 3 and 6months and I have a partner who works nights.
I really wish to train to become a Midwife, but i have no previous nursing experience. I wish i had carried out the training before having my kids but things havn't turned out exactly to plan.
I'm now struggling to find any courses in my hometown of Peterborough and travelling to and from a uni many miles away just isn't possible for me at the mo.

I'm willing to learn but don't know how to reach my dream career.....anyone got any ideas?

Where is your nearest uni? Peterborough, that's lincolnshire isn't it?

Have a look at our uni list under the 'more' tab.

University is your only option, if you have the required quals to get in, I'd say it depends how far it is and how you can travel?

The closest place i can go is at Fulboun in Cambridgeshire, but takes almost 2hrs from here due to high volumes of traffic. If i do the theory stuff there, i can do the practical at Peterborough hospital but i fear i may need to wait a few years before i can apply

Oh dear, Yes, that is to far really, you cannot choose your placement hospital either I am afraid, though they will take your request into consideration, each trust hospital has a certain number of students they can allocate for. Sorry, is that your closest uni?

Ijust read your post and thought you had 2 children, 1 aged 3 months and 1 aged 6 months. I have sat for ages trying to work out how this is possible and then realised the mistake i had made!!!!! woops!!

The eldest kid is 3yrs and the youngest is almost 6months!
