Opportunity on thurs...
I have the chance to go to a homebirth meeting on Thurs, an independant midwife i've got talking to rang me earlier to invite me along.
Would love to go but its dp's 30th so what do I do lol?!

Will the meeting be very long ??? Do you have anything planned for thursday ??? I do understand as i promised to take the kids swimming on thursday...i just checked my email and i need to go for an induction day at the hosp where my voluntary work is ??? Up to you hon but a difficult decision.... would be tempted to go to the meeting and do something with hubby later on ...just my opinoin !! Good luck with whatever you do XX

Depends how much it clashes really... In all honesty he's going to have to come second a lot over the next few years.... So either - he may as well get used to it - or, make the most of this time whilst he can still come first....
It's a toughy!!

Total agree with Norman! He is going to have to get used to coming 2nd I'm affraid. Besides it won't mean that you can't celebrate his birthday at all and he'll have lots more lol! I would really take this oppotunity it could be very good for you xx

Perhaps I'm just a really bad wife, but my immediate thought was that you can celebrate hubby's birthday any time, but these type of opportunities won't come up often!
I'd go to the meeting, then make it up to hubby later. As the others have said, he's going to have to get used to being on the back burner for a few years!

I know if it was my DH and I told him I had this amazing opportunity but it was on his 30th, he would tell me to take the opportunity and we would celebrate another day and he wouldn't take any argument about it.
