Yes i think they will!! Universities usually are looking for recent study within the last five years.If I am worng I am sure someone will correct me!!

LS CB is most definately right, doing these NVQ's will really enhance your application, you have completed access, fab!! and working as an MCA is ideal, the NVQ's are a great idea!

N/SVQ's count towards further study but are generally not seen as an academic qualification as it is vocational. It will show that you have studied and since youve done access then you should go for it.
When I wanted to do teaching a while ago, my SVQ2 and 3 in childcare and education was not recognised by the universities for entry because it was a vocational course

Thanks Debbie, I dont understand how they can say they are not 'academic' as there is written coursework etc. to do as part of NVQ. Beats me!! I will definitely do it though xx

I know, but they are on a different level than HNC's etc that they do recognise. In scotland theres a framework and SVQ's are level 5 and 6 and NC's and HNC's are level 6 and 7. I had to claim credit against the HNC even though I did the SVQ2 and 3 Childcare and have 8 years experience. It's pants
