if u subscribe to the practising midwife which i think most people will agree is the best one for newbies (its full of short articles in easy to read language) u can say ur a student midwife and its only 25 a year.

really really good read. i find i read snippets of articles then if im interested, i google it and find more info.

Thanks for asking this question I was looking at TPM earlier and was thinking the same thing, it is "£55 for qualified or £25 for student and well £55 would be too much for me.

If you subscribe to the RCM you register as a non-midwife

The british journal of midwifery is £34 for a 3 month subscription or £117 for 12 months - less than £10 per month - pretty good really as there is a lot in there each month and they are doing an offer to get a free fob when you subscribe

I subscribed to TPM and I contacted them to ask the same question and they said that as long as you give them a 'predicted' end date of study they will accept you as a student - so you dont actually have to be a student.

I subscribed to BJM for three months, do they normally get in touch when your three months is over or do I need to cause I aint heard from them in a while.

Yeah on your last copy they put a letter in to say its your last copy and if you want to continue you can just phone them or send the slip back.
