Default Does anyone have a Plan B!?

Hi all

I know this sounds terribly pessimistic but just wondered if any of you have a Plan B... in case you don't get in to midwifery or you do and then find out the course is not for you?

Hi Appletree, I have thought about this,I would probably go back into Banking as it's what I did for 11 years. Don't want to do that though, so I will have to make sure I get in! If I don't get into uni first go I will probably apply for an MCA or HCA role at the local hospital to get more experience.

What are your thoughts on this? xx

The only Plan B I had was to try and apply again! Nothing else was going to be an alternative for me.

I'm just really not sure, I used to work in conveyancing, but we all know how bad the housing market is now so think it would be hard to find something!

I need a good plan B which is why I am picking your brains!

Nope, i didnt really have an alternative, although i did have a wobble in the middle of waiting to hear back coz i got rejected from 4 out of 6 unis and thought i wouldnt get in- I was going to go to uni to do a geography degree- glad i didn't now!

Failing that, i probably would have gone travelling, i well and truly have the bug and can't wait to see the world....

My plan B was to keeping trying for another 2 years, (I figured if I had 3 years of rejection I obviuosly wasn't midwife material) and in the meantime to try and get healthcare experience and work my way up to MCA. I got in the first year somehow though.
