Need help with uni requirements

I'm hoping to apply for De Montfort uni in a couple of years time, and i could probably find out about this when i talk to them, but On their requirements it says "5 GCSEs at c or above or equivelent plus and additions quilification eg Access course" I'll be doing an access course and some GCSEs, but i wanted to know what are the eqivilent for GCSEs??

any module or course at college that is level 2 is equivalent to GCSE

you sound as though you'll be fine, always a good idea to ring the uni and check though!

A lot of unis want the actual GCSE for Maths and English... so double check first. Teesside want level three numeracy keyskills if you don't have a GCSE.... Which is actually a level higher than the "GCSE equiv". Just check with them to be sure you know what you need before commencing your study xx
