Default Cambridge??

Hey there

Does anyone know where I can apply to be a midwife near cambridge and if anyone knows if this can be done part time?

Basically I'm coming to the end of training to be a paeds nurse, but I've realised that I really want to be a midwife I was debating between the two prior to starting but being as tho I have a lot of history of hospital experience felt I wanted to help children with their experiences however, I have decided that this is really what I want to do and now I'm fearing that it's too late as I don't know as if I or my family could cope with another long 3yr course, but I'm really feeling this is what I want to do.

Can anyone offer any advice and have any answers to the cambridge thing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much.

Here is the link to UCAS midwifery courses for next year

http://search.ucas.co.uk/cgi-bin/hsr...IFERY&single=N

I have had a look and I think Northampton is probably your closest, but you may know better than me.

I'm pretty sure TVU has a campus in Cambridge. As a children's nurse you'd have to do the full 3 year degree in Midwifery.

Oh just checked the link and it doesnt work, perhaps go to the UCAS and search courses, then Midwifery, and it will come up.

TVU only has sites in London, Reading and Slough, and of those it is Slough and Brentford (London) that have midwifery I think.

Hi, sorry i didn't notice this before! I study at Anglia ruskin cambridge, which is based in Cambridge at a site in fulbourn with practice in cambridge, peterborough or huntingdon. PM if you like and i could gove you some more information. They do a 18 month conversion course for trained nurses, i dont know if this would be available to a childs nurse as well, but have a look on the anglia ruskin website and follow the contact details XxX
