what is everyone doing before applying?

im doing ou heath and social are at in oct and then think i might do human bio or something like that . i can see the who prcessbeing a long one for me althogh this is what i want to do stil feel that i want more children so will be doing all i can while i am still at home with my family and then i will start to apply. so for me its a long thime of and most of you will be working as mw by then

I'm not sure how long it'll take me to get into uni because I was warned by my Access tutor that my history of depression might still be too recent for 2009 entry (i.e. I won't satisfy the Occ Health people). Whilst I am desperately hoping this won't be the case, I have decided that if it is I will finish my Access course and then do some care work whilst also maybe gaining some other qualifications, such as A-level chemistry or something like an NVQ in health - just to keep my academic hat on, so to speak! If I can't get in for 2009 I want to make it impossible for them to reject me the next time I apply!! :-)

If you know midwifery is for you then I believe that, however long it takes, you'll get there and be sucessful. Having already made a false start at university, I am more wary now about choosing the right career for me.

Hi, I'm doing a part time access to H.E (caring professions) 1 day a week so I'll be looking to apply for intake Sept 2010. I already work on a maternity unit so hoping that's going to help too
