Exclamation help help help!!!

i need to find a placement for my access course but im struggling to find one. Ive tried two of my local hospitals, a few community midwifes and at a baby clinic....NO ONE WILL HELP MEEE LEARRRNNN

And im finding it hard to start my personal statement, i don't know what my first sentence should be...any ideas??? ( i want it to really really stand out)

What sort of other placements should i try and get? and will they teach me things like how to take blood ect ready for uni??

Thanks in advance...

Naomiii xxx

Give these a try, you can look for an indie in your area, they may allow you to shadow them for a day or so?

Good luck!!

Naomi2008, Try Stroud Maternity Hospital in Gloucester, after much perseverance I have managed to get three days work experience there. But they are busy as they usually only offer work experience to school children, but send them an e-mail or call, they are really helpful! Hope this helps xxx

I went on this website and got in touch with an independant and went out with her for a day and i know a couple of girls that have also been in touch with independant midwives on here and got some work experience. Good luck. XXX

I was never told to find a placement last year, however this year I'm working as a homecare assistant and attending breastfeeding classes at my local support group - its one day a week and free. This would be better for you as it's easier to get into. I tried maternity wards and all sorts but it's a hassle you won't need whilst on an access course. x Lolly x
