Give these a try, you can look for an indie in your area, they may allow you to shadow them for a day or so? Good luck!!

Naomi2008, Try Stroud Maternity Hospital in Gloucester, after much perseverance I have managed to get three days work experience there. But they are busy as they usually only offer work experience to school children, but send them an e-mail or call, they are really helpful! Hope this helps xxx

I was never told to find a placement last year, however this year I'm working as a homecare assistant and attending breastfeeding classes at my local support group - its one day a week and free. This would be better for you as it's easier to get into. I tried maternity wards and all sorts but it's a hassle you won't need whilst on an access course. x Lolly x
