Need to ask a question...
I'm 26 with two young children (2 year old and 4 year old) and I'm yet to enroll on a course. My reasons for this are childcare really. My boyfriend has just started a 3 year Adult Nursing course, so he won't be flexible when it comes to childcare. My parents are both busy and my boyfriends parents live hours away. I've been thinking about this realistically and think I am going to have to wait until my youngest starts school at age 5 before I begin studying. That way I can make use of after school clubs when needed. I didn't get a very good GCSE maths grade, so I'm thinking my best option is to do a part time access course first, then progress to the midwifery course after. If I add this all up it means I won't be ready to begin my midwifery course until I'm 31...will I be leaving it too late? Everyone I know seems to be studying around me and I feel like I'm being left behind and my time is running out! Any advice?

Hey Hunny - I'm.......er........ahem----------In my forties
![]() With a very young child and a baby . As of yet I dont have to take me zimmer out on placement and as D/S is on top floor of Hosp thats probably a good thing.Your never too old to chase your dreams - go for it. I'm not on a bursary but I believe that you can get childcare help if you are.

Thank you for your replies, you're right, I should stop worrying and keep reminding myself that I have plenty of time! I should just enjoy this precious time that I have with my children. I think I am just feeling very ready to do something now. I haven't studied anything for 7 years!
I love this site, you all put my mind instantly at rest, thank you xx
