Any Advice?!?

Hi,
I've recently decided to become a midwife but i'm terrified of not being accepted into uni next year. I've just started an access course, do volunteer work on the local post-natel ward, and am reading about midwiferey like nobodies business. Is there any thing that anyone could suggest to maybe boost my chance of getting into the Uni of my choice?!

Hanging out on here helps! You pick up no end of information and the glossary is a great aid to learning.

Also if you can seek work experience then do, it seems a bit hit and miss across the country with sime units being quite forthcoming and others there no chance... have a look here Work Experience

The shop has a workbook and a study guide that also really help you with getting familiar with midwifery and preparing for the course.

Thank you. I think its a bit worrying that all the unis i've been looking at only accept 40 or 50 students each year!

Yeah it is, the one I'm applying to only accepts about 17 last time I heard!!! And the other I think is 20 odd!!!

But those plcaces have to be filled so why not us? hehe x x

I'm applying to John Moore's and Edge Hill, what about you? I've applied now, just going to have to start waiting and waiting and waiting lol x x x

im going to apply for northampton, bedford, leicester, oxford brooks, and Grenwich.so Exited. And a bit scared!!
