Smile Always watching labour & delivery programmes!!

Hiya, when i was pregnant with my first i started watching those pregnancy programmes on home & health which i loved, then when my first was 5 months i was pregnant again with twins so continued watching them, now that ive given birth i realised i still loved watching them, (my husband kept saying "your not pregnant anymore")!! but i found it so interesting so i thought well there must be a reason for me always watching these so i thought..... wow id love to be a midwife!!! so now i want to train - when i get the chance.. my boy is 16 months and twins are 3 months!!!! cant wait to see if i can get a job as a mca next year!!!! x

Keep your eyes peeled for jobs coming up as Health Care Assistants on the maternity wards in the hospital near you. or the other thing, if you hae time, is to apply to be a volunteer. Usually they dont allow volunteers onto the Labour ward but most hospitals will bend over backwards to help. Be aware of CRB clearences though. Mine took 5 and a half months, and yes, it did come back clear! Good Luck!

I am addicted to these programmes to! Have you watch Dawn gets a Baby? I watched it last night and was funny and had two lovely births as well. There is a link somewhere here but I am rubbish at these kind of things!

Mrs sunshine I love your avatar. What an absolute cutie. Makes me smile everytime I see it.

I also love watching the birth programmes and I use to love Portland Babies. I'm not too keen on the American programmes cos they are so clinical and sometimes the midwives/doctors look like they are ready for a landing on the moon rather than a birth!!!

carsynamberrela25 Wishing you lots of luck with your future plans hun and look forward to hearing all about it.

Is anyone watching the sex education show of Chnl 4 just now? Just that it's showing the 'truth' of labour etc, quite interesting.
