Default Decided to start Access course with DLC..

Hi all well I started college a couple of weeks ago and Ive been enjoying it but I just feel that its too much for me with a young daughter and working 9-6 twice a week. Its a rush on a morning to get Holly to nursery and then go for the bus and I feel guilty as Im not spending half as much time with her as Id like... so Ive been looking into studying with the Distance Learning Centre and it looks brilliant!

Being able to work at my own pace and spend more time with my little girl is ideal Just need to get the ball rolling now Ill be starting the course in a couple of weeks as were moving house on thurs and I need to wait til my internet connection is reconnected at the new place.

Its a shame to be leaving everyone at college as everyone was really nice but Im sure this is the best way for me This way I can also fit in some voluntary work which will further strengthen my application xx

Hi Kirsty
DLC is a great way to study, i had the same problem as i work part time and have 2 children. You receive a lot of support from tutors and other students too.
Good Luck
xx

Sounds like a wise decision - especially as we'll all have enough of that (not spending enough time with our children) to contend with when we start uni (hopefully!). Welcome to the DLC course. I've been doing it very slowly since July and I think it's excellent. There is a DLC social group on here so you can have a new group of friends!

I also work part time and have a 3 year old - I am over halfway through my course with the DLC and I started the end of April. Good luck - if you need any advice pm me.
