Question for the Beds girls (or guys)

I am going to apply to Beds. Just have a quick question for any of you lucky enough to already be there.....where does the theory take place? Are you at your hospital base for theory at all or is it all at a central location?

am not at Beds, but as a general rule of thumb, the theory takes place at Uni and the placement hours take place at hospital. Occasionally you may have to go to hospital for some theory but it is usually very rare. I should imagine Beds pretty much follows this rule as well, but hopefully someone will appear soon to confirm this for you

I will be applying to Beds. I know they are changing a bit around soon, have some new buildings etc. I am sure someone will fill us in properly!

Hi Motherconfessor

I have just got back from their open day and they covered this...

They said that theory can be based either at Butterfield Green at the edge of Luton or at hospitals, it all depends, my impression is that it was a mixture of both?

Hi
I started at Beds in Sept and go out in community this week yay!!

Anyway theory can take place at any of the the uni sites, Butterfield or Park Square in Luton, the Bedford site (de montford) or in Aylesbury. So far on induction we have mainly be in Luton with one trip to Bedford but we have been informed that when Semester one actually starts (this week) to expect to go to Aylesbury at some point (Yes I have no idea where that is) but generally we do seem to be at the Luton sites more.
