I just don't get it, if no women were ever born, the Afghan race would die out eventually

Not only that but its the father's sperm that determines the sex of the child... not the mother.

There's no rationale to it, murdered because she gave birth to a girl. Beggers belief. Desperately sad. Especially for the daughters left behind.

Yep... its tragic because so many 1000s of women have lost their lives needlessly. But it is convenient to blame the women in a male dominated society.

Women are treated as chattels in many parts of Afghan society. Disposable and replaceable. Poor woman and poor children for losing their mother.

We watched an army programme last night about the British fighting the afgan's and they were using their children as shields so the British would not fire. It disgusted me...then I read this this morning :(
