If you apply for deferred entry your results still have to be back before the deadline I believe.

Yes I know that, my results are in at the end of August 2014 so will be fine for 2015 entry, as results need to be in August 2015. Not sure why all other Uni's let you apply the same year you sit your exams except York! X

I thought they did, no mention of this when I was at the open day? Must be new.

All uni's let you apply the same year you sit your exams? This is why a-level student progress directly onto uni from college :/

Edit- Sorry realise that sounded rude, don't mean to be rude at all. But thats the way it's always been with all Uni's. Where have you heard this info from?

EDIT 2 - Oh my god....fully did not read your post properly at all!!! Sorry haha, it is the early hours of the morning. That is very weird that they won't let you do that, how strange!

    It's
GCSE resit results, you have to have the grade at the point of applying, ie I think you have to accept your place by early August when GCSE results don't come in until the end of August. That is why I have applied for 2015 intake for York as my results will be in this year! Lol x

I'm guessing no one has heard yet then? :| Other than the email at Christmas? I just don't want the dates to clash with my other 4 interviews if I am lucky enough to get offered one... They are all spread out in February!

Also, I don't suppose anyone know, but this has been a curiousity of mine for a while... Why is this degree a bach of arts, rather than science like everywhere else? I was just wondering if there would be a huge difference in the course structure and content was all! York has such a good rep, so it doesn't really affect my decision, I was just wondering if anyone knew! Didn't mannage to get to an open day because I am living in Japan at the moment. Sorry if it's a silly question! xx

I just noticed this, it's weird, it really should be Science, maybe it's mistake on the website? I'll just have a look in the prospectus, nope it's definitely a BA. Weird, well some might consider midwifery an art lol! I'm sure it makes no differences to the graduates of the course :)

Won't be long now till everyone will here!
